How Home-Options works

The Home-Options Partnership is a group of councils and housing providers who work together to provide homes across Amber Valley, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, Erewash, High Peak and Staffordshire Moorlands.

If you are interested in accommodation, you need to register (link to our online registration form) so we can check you are eligible for housing in the UK and that you qualify for accommodation in the Home-Options area.

Available homes to rent or buy are advertised on this website. You can see what properties are available and ‘bid’ to tell us which ones you like.

The housing provider then decides who to offer the property to, based upon the appropriate Home-Options allocation policies (there are seperate policies for Chesterfield and the remaining Derbyshire authorities and Staffordshire Moorlands).  They will contact the successful applicant, check they still qualify, and contact them to discuss the offer of accommodation. Please be aware that many housing associations now ask for rent in advance.
