All bids for properties must reach the Home-Options office by 5.00pm on the closing date shown on the form of each edition of the Home-Options Property list. Bids received after this time will not be considered eligible.

Bidding by text message – 07781 472 726
To make your bids by text (SMS), follow the instructions shown in the Scheme User Guide. The bidding deadline will always be 5pm on the closing date shown on the front of each edition of the home-options property list. Bids received after this time will not be considered eligible.

To make your bids by telephone use the above number and follow the instructions given over the line or as shown in this Scheme User Guide. (calls cost 25p per call minute).
Bid by coupon
You can use your coupons to make a bid. Follow the instructions on page 12 of this Scheme User Guide and send your completed coupon to home Options.
Ordering more coupons
If you are running low on coupons, there are three ways for you to order more:
- Tick the box on the back of the bidding coupon when you next bid.
- Send a text (SMS) with your home-options number and the word “coupon” to the text bidding number below.
- Log in to the Home-Options website and order more coupons online.
Information you are required to provide.
Documentation is required from all applicants to establish identity and eligibility onto Home-Options. Prior to any offer of accomodation Home-Options will require you to provide:
- Identity – birth certificate, passport, immigration papers;
- Residence – electoral register entry, rent book/card, recent bill or credit payment book for gas, electricity or water supply, pension book, confirmation from employer or DSS, tenancy agreement, full driving licence, recent bill for Council Tax or telephone, recent
bank statement;
- Qualifying/non-qualifying – passport, national identity papers, Home Office documents, proof of housing benefit;
- Children – Child Benefit award letter, Residence Order, confirmation from DWP, Social Services, Health and Education authorities, full birth certificate. Where children have previously been cared for by another person, including an ex-partner, and in the absence of a Residence Order from the courts, a combination of this evidence must be provided. Home-Options will consider each case on its merits in order to be satisfied that the children’s normal place of residence is with the applicant.
- Non-dependants – confirmation from either Social Services or other relevant statutory agency;
- Pregnancy – antenatal card/book from hospital, doctor’s letter;
- In cases of threatened eviction – tenancy agreement, valid Notice to Quit, Court Order.
