Home-Options

New Home-Options webpage - coming soon!

For everyone who has been waiting for new Home-Options website, worry not - we will be launching it soon!

We'll be bringing you a wider range of property to choose from - including accredited and low-cost home ownership schemes - as well as advice and help about support, training and employment.

It is taking a bit longer than expected to get it right, but we're confident that you'll like it. Keep an eye out for details and we'll let you know as soon as it's ready.

Helping you find a new home

Home-Options gives you more choice about where you want to live. In the past your council or landlord decided where and when you would be offered a home. Now you have the chance to choose.

Anyone looking for a home can use Home-Options - homeseekers (the name we use for people on the housing register), existing council or housing association tenants who would like to transfer or people who are homeless.

Every fortnight, we produce a free property sheet that advertises the homes available from local councils and housing associations. You can look at the adverts and decide whether you want to be considered for any of the properties. If you are interested in any of the properties, you express your interest by making a ‘bid’ for up to three of them.

Advice on how to bid can be found on this website in Scheme Guide Section.

Home-Options gives you more choice about where you want to live and it also gives you a better idea of what is available in your area. In each property sheet you can see how homes in the previous bidding cycles were let by turning to the feedback page. You can also see what level of priority the successful bidder had and how long they waited for a new home.

The Home-Options partners include Amber Valley Borough Council, Amber Valley Housing Limited, Dales Housing, Derbyshire Dales District Council, Erewash Borough Council, High Peak Borough Council, High Peak Community Housing and Three Valleys Housing.

If you would like to find out more about Home-Options, or how to use Home-Options to bid for a home, you should contact your existing landlord or local housing department.
